Recently, I celebrated another birthday. And that means it's a good time to be thinking about the year behind and the year ahead.
It was somewhere between the ages of 18 and 22 that I decided I would be grateful for each year. And, I didn't want to become one of those people who are constantly lamenting their age.
Thus, this is my philosophy on aging:
"Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many."
Like New Year’s Day, birthdays can be another great opportunity to release what no longer serves us and set some intentions for the year.
In the past couple of weeks, I have made several lists. One about all the lessons I learned. Another envisioning what I want.
But what all these lists come down to are these three wishes:
- Less striving. More living.
- Less judgment. More acceptance.
- Less struggle. More ease.
Now, it's your turn. What do you want to release and what do you want more of this year?
